The verses of this SAB choral composition, set to Sr. Genevieve Glen’s beautifully crafted, hope-filled hymn text, assure us of the promise of peace and salvation in heaven. Wedgewood has added an original refrain text to reinforce the topics of peace and praise. Flexible voicing options are offered for the first three verses, where a cantor or schola may be featured. Assemblies will appreciate the mostly stepwise melody and easy syncopations that fit the natural rhythms of the text. A solo instrument part in C is included, as well as a simplified hymn version for an assembly- or guitar-friendly rendition of the piece.
